Extra. Elt on a Yanmar 3 GM

I need to fit an extra drive belt to my Yanmar 3GM to drive an Echotech Watermaker pump..

Space is very limited all round as the engine is in a catamaran and access is from over the sail drive at the back!!!

Has anyone seen it or done it?

I have a second alternator on a 3GM30. Finding a bolt on pulley for the crankshaft should be pretty straight forward. I would be cautious about where to mount the pump, IIRC, you need to stay within certain angle offsets from the crankshaft so you don't ruin the crank bearings.

I would check with a reputable Yanmar dealer/mechanic.

Maybe call:
