Engine replacement Westsail 32

Im interested in info on repl. the engine (Volvo MD17C) on a Westsail 32. Are there alternatives for used or rebuilt engines? Should i consider having it rebuilt? Where would i find the info, as the i'net is proving inadequet. Also, any recommendations as an alternative (Yanma, beta, Beta,etc)?

We pulled our motor and put in a Beta 38. Total costs are listed in the cost section of the website. If you have the engine liner version of the W32 the procedure will be slightly different.
