Diesel Mechanic needed in Marathon - urgent

Our inboard Volvo Motor broke down - we got a tow to the City Marina in Marathon. The Marathon Boatyard Marina workers won't come to the boat (45f Ketch) to check on the motor. Is there any diesel mechanic out here in the area who would come out to the boat (on a mooring ball) and check the motor?

(We used all our "towing credit" with Boat US to get here.
We are live aboards on vacation and on a tight budget....We might have to wait weeks for parts if needed and $90/day just for the wet slip fee at the Boatyard Marina is just not affordable for us..)

You can call me under 954-257-8101 if you know any diesel mechanic who works on Volvo engines here.

Thanks!!!!

Heidi

I would think that the other folks on mooring balls would be the best source of info.
See if John Galovich is still around. it's been many years (pre mooring balls) since I was there but that's who I would have used at the time.

Maybe a list of symptoms and some details could help get you.going in the right direction?

Thanks so much! By know we found another sailor who knows about diesel engines. If we are lucky, it's only something with the diesel injectors... (They couldn't find any noise inside the engine when they turned it by hand - after taking it apart)

Lets hope for the best!

Thanks again!
