Talk to the manufacturer of your engine
. No matter what it says on the label, it can be a really bad idea to "shock" the fuel. All the newly dead particulate can drop to the bottom of the tank and gather at your fuel pickup, and you'll suddenly be going through fuel filters like they were tissues in the flu season ... Diesels don't sneeeze, either. Fill their little noses up with gunk and they just stop running.
