Hi, looking for a little tech-support here.
I came across this great how-to article on doing a conversion to an external regular on a LN Alternator

Unfortunately it looks like mine
is a little different, it has a terminal for 'Reg' which I assume is field, and it has one for ignition-exciter.
My assumption is that I don't need the conversion kit at all, and can just disconnect the internal regulator
from the terminals and connect my external (P-type) regulator
field to the 'Reg' and other terminals.
Can anyone correct me on that?
Or has anyone converted one of these alternators to external regulation who can offer any pointers?
