chrysler/nissan diesel sd22 gasket set

I can,t seem to find a head gasket set for my chrysler/nissan sd22 most of the parts auto stores don,t even know what they are. found a place in china but don,t want to mess around overseas. i want to buy in US any ideas were i can get one. very frustrating trying to find one.i don,t want to pull my head off till i have gaskets. thank you.

Try nissanpartszone.com, ebay, or Blue Ridge Marine in Everett Washington.

These engines were used in Datsun 720 pickup trucks from 80 to 84 and in forklifts. Let me know if you have more trouble and I will get you the part numbers for the gasket kit. Then you can search nissanpartszone.com and order them directly without hassle.

Lots of SD22 parts are becoming difficult to find, particularly the marine specific items.

You could make gaskets from sheet. Klinger was one supplier. There must be others. The material is available at different thicknesses, can be cut by tinsnips, or peened with a hammer, thats why engineers hammer (Ball peen) has its distinctive shape.
