Chrysler Ace Marine Engine

We have re-engined our 1962 Halvorsen 26ft Motor Cruiser and want to find a home for the the original Chrysler Ace 6 cylinder petrol engine. The Chrysler has served us well for the 6 years we have owned the boat but the time had come for us to install a new diesel.

I'd be interested to know if there is a market for this engine which was running fine (if a little low on compression) up to the time we took it out. We fitted a new carby not too long ago.

Any advice welcome,

Mike

Mike, why don't you try an add in Sydney Afloat magazine? Lots of people read that and I think the adds are free. I remember going on board the first Halvorsen 26 when it was on display at Bobbin Head. Compared with our old boat it was so flash!
Regards, Richard.

I doubt if there is much of a market for a 48?? YO gasoline engine. But I am curious, what diesel did you repower with. I am considering doing the same to a 28' downeaster style cruiser.
