Changing engine oil adding transmission oil

Anyone living aboard or are on their boats that have experience with changing oil and other diesel related stuff in the ft lauderdale area? I'm up for an oil change and a few other maintenance items to do before heading south again. I'm familiar with the changing oil in cars ect. But was wondering if I could pick someones brain who has more experience than me.
I'll buy ya dinner and some brews for a hand if anyone is nearby or lives in the area.
Who knows maybe someone in lake sylvia anchored around us is reading this.. Lol

Warm up the engine and suck the old oil out the dipstick tube with an oil extractor. A google custom search of the forum should bring up lots of advice on what extractors work best. Do I get steak?

Thanks deep, actually mines a little easier, it has a valve with a barb on bottom of engine to connect a hose to run to a tray. No steak

careful on serving your transmission, DO NOT overfill, it does not take much. also check to see if it takes transmission fluid or engine oil.

I use a dollar store hand pump...its actually a childrens water toy...looks like a giant crayon. I add some 3/8" hose with duct tape, and voila, a $2 oil extractor pump. When I'm done, I thow the whole mess away. I build a fresh pump every time, so no mess on the boat.
