Broke down - need welder in Atlantic City, NJ

Hi all, We were on our way to Block Island yesterday from Cape May, when the mount that holds our heat exchanger to the engine broke. We made it in to Atlantic City by about 1am (fun in the dark!) and are now anchored. We could use some advice on a good engine mechanic that welds or a welder that can do bronze (I think that what it is). The engine is a Volvo 2003.

We also might need a slip to, so suggestions are always welcome.

Thanks,
Chris

Although the wrong engine type. Mak Boring headquarters is in Union NJ. They could probably give you a list of dealers who have the capability to do the work you need. I suspect the individual folks would work on a variety of engines

Well, that was the fastest repair turn around we have had,. We contacted a local welder, GW welding, and he agreed to taking on the work. I pulled the heat exchanger, and Glen sent his dad, Glen senior, to meet me ashore. We gave it to him, and checked out the Golden Nugget while we were there. On our way back to the boat, Glen called that the work was done!

It is now back in place, and other than a small seawater leak that I should be able to fix tomorrow, we are back in business. Now we can make it to Block Island, so we can try our luck at draging (see other thread).
