That's funny,

If I am out of line doing this, feel free to delete it. I thought they would get more helpful advice in the engine section...

Thanks for asking . but not so well. We still have not found a slip, and have to move her today. Still can't find right parts. My husband sent off for parts at westerbeke but they didn't fit. No one seems to know where to get parts for this motor...

Re: BLUECAREWATERBEAR Westerbeke Rebuild

It will get better maybe.
I had to drive 7 hrs today because the yard couldn't get the prop off my boat, even though I had given them a puller specifically made for the prop.
7 hrs driving, 5 min. Pulling prop, and they get paid to work on boats?
The real unbelievable advantage you have is he knows what he is doing and is doing it himself, you would not believe what passes for mechanics out there.
Compound the hard to find parts, with a bonehead mechanic breaking stuff trying to make them fit, putting head gaskets on upside down, causing the head to warp etc.

Yes I'm sure. And thanks. The biggest problem we are having now is finding correct parts for the westerbeke motor. And a slip that we can work on it that dissent charge 1.000$ a month. Even at 750.00 a month they have a cow when you say you need to put a head back on the motor. And yes. My husband ordered parts with the exact order number on the parts and still are not right. But they built the motor wow.. Anyhow , if anyone has ANY info on westerbeke valves would be very helpful. Thanks 👍

Re: BLUECAREWATERBEAR Westerbeke Rebuild

Having trouble with getting 270 crusader engines to run. Bought boat in December, boat ran fine for 2 hours. Tried cranking week later only port engine would run. Now neither engine wil crank. Mechanic has replaced starboard fuel pump. Replaced plugs in both engines. Now both carburetors are flooding out. Mechanic is out of ideas. Fuel filters were cleaned out.
