blown gasket

The15 horse Evinrude on my dingy has been increasingly reluctant to idle. trying to leave the doc today to get back to my boat it was Very difficult to start and when only run on one cylinder. it turns out the bottom cylinder has water in it. New head gasket will be in Wednesday. when you are on the hook these things become much more of a problem

Re: blown gasket

Hi, Motion30,

Yeah, lotsa dinghies are a pita to row. Some people keep a small hard dinghy just for those times rowing is essential.

I hope you get your engine back running well really soon. We rely on them so much!

Ann

Re: blown gasket

Thanks. Ann
Well i found the problem and that's always the hardest part. Being in Key West there's not a lot of choices of where to buy parts. plus I am approximately a mile from the dock. hopefully by Wednesday afternoon I will have everything put together and running again. I do feel a little Stranded here on my boat without a running Dinghy

Re: blown gasket

Oh, yeah, motion 30, as we all do. However, maybe a little e-motion will help, a little energy there, and all that! ;-)

Good luck with it.
