bleeding volvo 2002 engine

Request for enlightenment to the oracles .once again to the ones who know more .
few days ago I service the water separator decanter (pre water separator filter technology)on my small volvo engine 18 HP 2002(model not year )this is a 1989 engine that runs perfect.(before I try to improved it's performance, male retarded mental process)
I can get it now to run for more than 2 minutes and then dies ,I have previously change the filters twice and was able to purge it right away with few cranks but this time have the filter remove for few days and probably air got to the High pressure system?
or because this time I'll trying by myself and should have someone cranking and tighten the screw at the same time ?
any recommendation greatly appreciated

Re: bleeding volvo 2002 engine

.Have you bled the line at the on engine fuel filter? Open the bleed screw on the top of the filter housing, then use the fuel pump manual handle. You sometimes need to put a wrench on the shaft and rotate it slightly if the manual pump handle does not pump. Pump till you see straight fuel come out the bleed hole. If this doesn't worrk you may need to bleed each injector.

Thanks for your response Ill did both screw and injectors and still the same ,I thought maybe because I'm doing it alone and need someone to crank while I close screws and nuts?

To bleed the injectors you have to turn the engine over, easier with 2. Are you sure you didn't end up with an air leak in the filter housing?

Do you want to align the engine or repack the stern gland?

As far as I know there was not any particular stuffing box used with these engines, so you''ll have to just mess with what you got. It may need new packing put in.
