Beta marine 50

Looking to replace my very old Diesel engine with a beta marine 50 I got a quote from beta MArine for around 16,000, with a reversed water pump and a few other connection. Is the price I got from beta marine the best price or is there wiggle room if I purchase it from a dealer

They typically have boat show specials. Also why not call a dealer local to you and find out?.

I did but since I got a quote from beta they said that was the price

I apologise in advance as this is off topic but what sort of engine is your very old one? Did you consider a rebuild?
If it is a wet sleeve engine you can make it as good as new practically for around $1000 per cylinder or less if you can do most of the work yourself.
