my belts, even a COT factory belt is slipping and dusting at 2000
RPM when the
alternator is heavily
charging, like at 60 to 100 A.
I had the same situation on my old
Perkins and
solved it by getting double pulleys made for two belts.
My
Yanmar dealer said that was not necessary but the problem persists.
I tighten the belt and it still slips. I had the alignment checked twice it is OK.
Any
advice on getting bigger pulleys like 1" wide or double pulleys?
This is the 64 turbo charged
Yanmar 4jh4te and
Balmar 100 A
alternator.
