Are New T Link Vee Belts Any Good ?

Replacing a broken vee belt on our water pump">raw water pump on a Cat 3208 NA is not easy as you have to remove 3 other belts to access it. Not a great experience in a seaway!

Having a link vee belt to hand seems like a good idea- ready cut to length which then can be joined in situ.

Are there any disadvantages with these belts apart from expense?

I would only carry one as a spare to get me to port, as a temporary. But not full time. They stretch out and wear out quickly.
