Alternator Install Into a Mercury 5hp

Has anyone ever installed an alternator or lighting kit into a Mercury 5 hp 4 stroke before? So far the people at Mercury and my local Mercury dealer have been completely unhelpful in helping me finding the right parts and explaining to me the process of installing the thing.

Is this a Mercury Part?

Keep in mind the power needed to run an alternator

CE thanks for checking in, no I don't believe that is the part. That has been one of the frustrating things about this experience is no one seems to know what parts I need. The three parts I have are 16074t04 (two alternators 6amp), 16838a4(rectifier and battery harness), and 16837a2 (which is a stator kit that doesn't even fit into my outboard.) My engine serial number is 0r073150 and the model is 2006 me5ml 4st.

I haven't really had any luck when I look around for other engines with serial numbers that start in 0r0 or the me5ml model which seems weird because it is the one they sell right out of West Marine.
