Good day cruisers,
Firstly, I'm happy to report that I am a proud new owner of an Albin Vega
27, which I am eagerly outfitting to take me to distant tropical places.
Now I've noticed in all the manuals
that the gear
box is referred to as a "Reverse Gear". The "Volvo Penta
Mono Shift Reverse Gear" to be exact. Not that I am having any issues with the system, but I'm very curious as to why this is called a Reverse Gear
? Perhaps it is just a term used for "gear box" or "Transmission" that I've never heard of. Is there any difference between a Reverse gear and any other Gearbox
? I'm sure it's a simple answer, but Google
is of little help at the moment.
