4-108 Starter

was informed a while back that only 7% of the 4-108s we instelled in marine use..
Thinking of getting an extra starter befor we head south.. and wondering if anyone knows if there is a defference in the starters and if so, how do you determine the style......
If there's no difference, I'll just hit the local tractor shop.......

Marine Batteries, Alternators, Starters, Rolls Batteries, Delta Batteries, AGM Batteries, Batteries AGM, High Amp Batteries Etc.

You will need the specifics of your own engine to obtain the correct starter. IF you didn't receive the original papers fro your yacht when you bought her, there is a plate on the sife of the block with the engine number although it is difficult to access. You may also need the spacer that goes between the starter and the mount. Having had to replace the starter on our engine, I can tell you it is a serious pain in the butt--really serious. If CSY Man's small size starter will work, on your unit, it will make life a lot easier if you ever do have to replace the unit.

FWIW...
