3jh3ce ring gear....How many teeth?

I am looking to add an nmea 2000 engine monitor to my older Yanmar 3jh3ce engine. To make the tachometer work I need to know the number of teeth on the ring gear. I have the manual and there in lies my problem. The section dealing with the flywheel and ring gear says 127 teeth. The section dealing with the Tachometer says 116 teeth. Does anyone know which, if either, of these numbers is correct?
