You could add some Cetane booster to your fuel. It may not help but it will improve the combustibility of the old fuel if nothing else

Thanks, I'll give that a shot if it looks like it's a problem. I installed two new Racor 500 filters when we bought the boat, so I'm not too concerned about the fuel any more. It sounds like two year old fuel should be okay. I also dumped six gallons of fresh diesel in there about three months ago. The tanks are clean. I wasn't sure about evaporative issues but after asking here it seems that's not really a problem.
