3GM Red line

So I finally managed to get my B&G Triton to display what's going on inside my engine.

I can finally see how fast it's spinning, but just how fast is too fast? (The red line on the display is courtesy of B&G and doesn't appear to be adjustable). Anyone know the actual red line for a Yanmar 2 GM?

Re: 3GM Red line

Seem to remember max rpm on the 3GM is 3600 with a max continuos of 3200 rpm. The Max rpm should be set by the governor so just run it up and where it stops will tell you what redline is. As I learned a long time ago driving MGs, running at/near redline does not make for long engine life.
