2qm20 impeller help

I'm an idiot. I removed the impeller to replace it, along with the water pump seals and bearings. However, I did not take a pic or write down which way the impeller fins go. Hopefully someone knows and can share. Do the fins bend to the left or to the right? Argh, gotta slow down.

Re: 2qm20 impeller help

it really does not matter BUT, look at which side the water is coming in, the fins will bend backward toward the inlet.
Once the water pump starts to rotate, they will be correct anyway.
Remember to add the installation grease if you have some.

Re: 2qm20 impeller help

Here's what my 2QM15 looks like. Input (being replaced) is on the left, output on the right.

Re: 2qm20 impeller help

Note that the inlet and outlet are close on one side of the pump diameter.

The water takes the long way around to the outlet. This will indicate direction of rotation and which way the vanes bend while rotating.

Any suggestion on what grease to use on the bearings and shaft when I put it back together? Thanks
