28' spirit/glasston

I am buying a 28' spirit at a real steal the guy wants it gone and is basically giving it to me. There is work to do to it wood and a little glass work. I know how to do all the work including the engine and there in lies my question. He says its a 2cyl 2 cycle inboard motor that hasnt ran in years. You would be suprised the engines ive gotten to run lol but does anyone know anything about these vessels and motors?

I have one, which I like a lot. My Engine (and sounds like yours too) is a Yanmar 2QM15 raw water cooled diesel. Fairly popular engine in that era - lots of info on line. Spirit 28 write up in last issue of Good Old Boat. There are also a couple of owner websites.
