Went out today to try starting the engine
before launch this week and couldn't get her to start.
- Fluids are fine.
- Turns over fine.
- Check spark plugs and they are clean.
- After cranking, the plugs are damp with fuel
so I assume it is getting fuel
- Freshly filled outboard fuel tank
, so fuel is not old.
- I tried cranking with the end of the plug
against the engine
block and there was a spark but it seemed weak.
Last year toward the end of the season, the motor
did start a little harder than usual but not so much that I thought anything of it. 3-4 tries before she started. Once warmed up the engine ran fine and would start on the first crank.
I haven't found much searching on line. Up until now, she has been very reliable.
Any obvious issues I should be checking?
