2004 Mercury 5HP 5M

I'm thinking about buying a used 2004 Mercury 5HP 5M with a 20" shaft for my Avon Redseal. Any comments good bad or indiffernent about this model engine and this application would be appreciated.

Thanks very much!

Reliable engine, starts easy, like the approx. 1 gallon internal tank. I use mine to power a 1967 Oday Mariner. Negatives: sensitive to fuel quality and being a single cylinder vibrates a bit more than I like.

You're sure you want a 20" shaft? Isn't 15" the norm for your typical inflatable?
