| Registered User ![]() | Thanks - Azore was a great mother - All of the puppies were sold by the time she delivered. Porties go fast in the North East right now. They are very popular - no shedding, love the water, protective, great with kids. Azore's second and final litter will be available in March or April depending on ... |

A yorkie-poo...Its my wifes dog but I told her if I can learn to live with an indoor dog you can learn to live on a boat half the year ...she said OK...so the dog is my best friend now... I will even walk it down the street...I just shrug when people laugh and say "you have no Idea"

We cruised for 3 years on our 28' boat with our beagle, Toby. He was a great boat dog, particularly as he hated swimming (means he would not jump off) and was a good watch dog (would bark at passersby, helpful when in less-secure areas) but a wonderful friend and companion. he used to stick his head through the porthole over the galley and lick up the steam that was rising from whatever was cooking . . . friends would call him the trophy dog as his head just fit through the port! We are about to head off again, this time with kids on the same 28' boat - the 2 beagles we have now are likely not going with us due to space restrictions, although that decision is not yet final! |

Here's me mutt Cooper. I rescued him when he was 2 mos. He's a shepherd and something mix. Who the hell knows. I do know that he loves being in the water and he's great on the boat. Chasing de geese is his favorite. Goes crazy over fish too. ![]() And Swimming with his gf... ![]() Cheers Bill

We're going to try our 12 year-old Border Collie. He loves the Passenger seat in our Corvette: he sits upright and leans into the turns. So I think he'll take to sailing alright. I was thinking of how to help him do his business; I think we'll try a chunk of astroturf I can throw over the stern on a line. Whatayathink?

| ![]() Our schipperke, Zorro, barks at other boats in the fog that we can only see on our radar screen.... ... but his best behavior is his trained response to run to the aft deck when necessary and....![]() ... take care of busines! 'no pads or astro-turf for this puppy. Just a little rinse or sometimes some "golfing" with the boat hook. 'take care and joy, Aythya crew |

Flounder is the pit/yellow lab who unfortunately will have to go to a new home when we move onto the boat, he would rather take his chances swimming than staying on the boat. He actually hates the boat more than he hates the water and he REALLY hates the water. The other is Chewy Golden Retriever/Chow He wont go i the water on his own but if i go in he would follow me to the end of the earth. |

We are going sailing in the pugit sound this summer. We have a 28lb cat (mancoon)and a full grown german short hair. Our boat is a 27' Norsea. One of my concerns is their feeding habits. If one of them should get sea sick....how do you trat it and toileting is another concern. Any good ideas out there? |
