| Two new Crew.
Well for those that heard about our last crew mate jumping ship and going AWOL. We finally gave up, hopeing she has found a new life out there somewhere. So we have hired new crew. Two this time. We figured that with two of them, they would be company to each other. Well I tell ya, what a bundle of dynamite, Both of them. They just don't slow down. It's Kittens on full boost. They are Male and Female and about 3-4mths old. We have called the girl Geneka and the boy Mizzen. Take a look in the gallery. Geneka is the one with the white patch under her chin and Mizzen is the one in the tree. Just look at the look of "trouble" in his eyes.

Fine looking crew you have there, Wheels! Getting them trained in their ship-board duties is going to be lots of fun! Lori, Rick and Shadow |

So Wheels, just how long do you think Geneka will let you think you are the Captain? |

About 2 seconds. Once they were both aquainted with where the food was, I was moved to "mere mortal that feeds and shelters us" Position and if I have been on best behavior, I am allowed to do grooming duty.

Mrs Wheels Here, Yes Gennika and Mizzen are now one year old. They have adapted quite well. It was either the first or second trip we had made with the new crew on board. This particular evening Gennika was jumping from the yacht to the dingy, running around the edge of the dingy and then jumping back onto the yacht. Well we thought you had better be careful. Early in the morning, alan gets up to get a drink and notices the floor in the pilot house was wet. He thought that's funny, thought he left the hatch open and it had rained during the night, but no hatch closed and no rain. Then he looks up to see Gennika shivering away, yes she had fallen in, but somehow was able to make here way back on board. Alan was drying her off and warming her up. Well she hasn't done that again. Was probably what she needed to do. Just for the record Alan surprised me with the two new crew. I had no idea and one night when I came home from work I was met with this wonderful surprise.

Dawn, that can be a scarey situation. We thought we lost our cat on one trip because she freaked out and hid so well it took a full day before she would come out. Still don't know where she was hiding. You might consider letting a towel hang in the water from the dinghy at night for the cat to climb up if he/she falls in.
