Heh... yes, she was annoyed, as only a cat can be, when I bought a monohull. We tried to impress her by hauling up a Dungeness crab, but she refused to look at it. Until later, of course. Mmmmm....

Fortunately, her retroreflective eyeballs have the correct colors, so she became a fixture on the bow of the dinghy.

Granted, fish aren't much for pets...

But an aquarium on a cruising boat is great for the kids. Set it up right, with air and filters as you would at home. See what you can find, learn about it, and let it go. You will not need as good a set-up as you would for marine fish at home - one of the mini 2 1/2 gallon tanks will do fine, placed in the kid's cabin.
