I have just spent a fun 2 hours making Play-Dough with my 2 and 3 year olds. have made enough to keep them busy for hours and hours.
This is the first time i have done this after getting the 'how to' from a friend.
and i realised how cheaply and easily you can make a load of it. compared to the
price of
buying the branded versions.
I also noticed how it just disolves in
water so easy to clean and dispose of (totally natural ingredients)
Anyway if anyone is interested it goes as follows.
I have just made 3 batches each filling a 1 Litre
storage pot.
using 1 kg plain flour, 140g pot of cream of tarter powder.
salt,
oil,
water and
food colouring.
Meathod.
Get a large mixing bowl (microwavable)
Mix : 2 Cups Plain flour
1 cup
salt
2 cups water
2 tablespoon veg
oil
4 tablespoons Cream of Tarter Powder
1/2 little bottle of
food colouring
Cover the bowl with a plate and Put in microwave for 5 minutes, ( i found that taking it out and mixing it every minute or so stopped too much crusting round the edges!!!)
let it cool and start playing!!!!!!
