Looks like 20+ kts of
wind but what was the boat speed? Surely not 20 kts?

Wow, go cat go. That looks fast; one happy customer I guess.
Relatively nice flat sees for that
wind ; I assume the boat went 20 knots, the wind could be even more.

According to the owner the wind speed was between 25 and 28 knots and almost flat
water .

Re: Youtube GreenCat 445 first sail by owner
We are building a carbon/kevlar version of the GreenCat 445 in order to save about 1500 kilo or 3300 lbs in construction and by using lighter batteries, foam with less resin absorbtion etc.
and are trying to accomplish a cat that can sail close to wind speed at tracks between 80 and 120 degrees app .

I just noticed a new you tube
movie of the 2nd Sig 45 sailing on the west coats , fantastic speed and looks
over 24 knots with 16 knots of wind speed.

Wow, that's an even easier way of getting the prop out of the
water than the Green Motion system..........

I fully agree but look at the disadvantages, it does not regenerate the batteries and the other side is still in the water, had it been out maybe another 0.5 knots of speed could be added extra

I can see there is still lots to learn , maybe fill the next Cat with Helium ??
This tri does not have a sail drive but a fly drive ! a real different way to retract the prop.

Maybe you can modify the profile of the swing keels of your new 62 ft GreenCat? Would be nice to see it fly at 60 knots......
