I have a 27ft Heavenly Twin.
This is my fifth year with her and she is my first
boat. We first saw her at a sales exhibition for catamarans. I was keen on Prout and we went on all the boats over 33 ft to get an idea of what they were like. When we had finished, I said as a joke that we should look around one of those little clog shaped boats. It was love at first sight. It was much larger inside than out. At over six foot tall, I could stand up straight. It had two double berths at the back, a big
galley and large heads. She seemed perfect so we arranged a trial sail. I didn't know much about sailing back then but could see how easy she was to handle. We were hooked and I have never regretted
buying her. We have since sailed on many monohulls but love coming back to our own
boat and running through the list of things we prefer. Her only downside is she doesn't
head to
wind too good, but that is only a problem when we are
racing. Last year we did a weekend
cruise with nine people on board. Don't ask where we all slept!
Next year, me and my partner should have saved enough to spend a few years sailing around and living on board. I hope she will be our little home for a very long time.
