Yacht Insurance small print

We are based in uk and experienced a storm with wind over 80 knots.
Our Genoa unraveled even though we had secured it.
It was destroyed in the storm. We contacted our insurance company and was told blow away or torn sails are not covered and they will not pay out.
We are just sending this out to everybody to check the small print and ask your insurance company exactly what is not covered in detail.
Be careful of the wording.
We all pay a lot for insurance and we have never made a claim.
I think it would be good to start a list of incidents that you thought you were covered and the insurance company did not pay out.
