Man you are on the wrong forum if you think CF is going to give a useful answer to buying a $1.5M boat.

The question is more in the region of "how much trouble to expect and would it worth that?". Otherwise, yes, I've had my fair share to comment on many CF posts asking about boats in the past...

Sheesh. If I had 1.5 million to spend on that boat...
I'd buy a boat for 100,000 and use the remaining 1.4 mil to cruise for the rest of my life.

And THAT is not bad advice.
A 1.5mil boat is going to be expensive to operate, store, maintain, and repair, and it can't go anywhere a boat half that price can't go.

Definitely don't spend your last $1.5M on it, but if there is going to be money left over when you die, why not?

Yes.... It's definitely worth the trouble.
Looks like an awesome boat. Italy and Sardini are fantastic places to cruise. If you have the money, buy it over there and stay a while.... You won't want to go home.
Just curious.... Where's the boat? I'll be in Northern Sardinia in four weeks time if you'd like me to check it out for you.
Many of the folks on this forum don't know that a boat this size is common in the Med. At many anchorages, we're usually one of the smaller boats.

I've used the e-mail on YW to reach the representative, who tortured English like no-one ever had! I'm sure he'd give you the address though, at this stage, I didn't ask for it before testing the sellers mood first.
As for the size, I agree. The average Gulet size is around 80ft and many are 90-100+ anyways. Plus, I've always advocated the fact that it's impossible to manhandle anything over 25 foot during storm if anything goes wrong anyway. As for the costs, well they're proportional, that's given...

Having 1.5 mio in my pocket I would definitely rejected 2009 built 65' Catana in favor of newbuilding even faster 60-feeter stronger built of better materials .

It is unfortunately quite easy to spend 1.5M on a boat.

I'm with the rest - if you've 1.5 mil and say a couple hundred thou per year for maintenance - well enjoy
I don't have that kind of money 
so I'll just sit on the dock and drool
