How do you know they dropped 50k? And what kind of issues?

Would be very interesting in seeing the survey from when the boat was sold.

Doesn't seem fair to beat up this boat without at least providing any info on the issues. What's wrong with it?

Re: WILD CAT buyer Beware

The new listing states that the boat has been undergoing a major refit. I guess I am not certain why the old listing would be relevant? I have no idea if the boat in question has serious issues or if they have been addressed but I do wonder why the OP with no previous posting history felt the need to point it out?

I had some clients look at the boat last year when she was on the market. She was pretty rough.

I am guessing the boat has turned into a much larger project than they thought it would be.

A bit of history? I was surprised they got a decent price for it back when they sold after so clearly documenting the problems they had.

Would be a little interesting if it's the same vessel.

Who knows, maybe these folks bought it for 25, put 30 into it and are now listing it for more. Nothing wrong with that. It's America after all.

Apparently you have an axe to grind. I'm sure a warning is appreciated however what is the premise of the warning?

Re: WILD CAT buyer Beware

I assume that the new engines were added by this owner? That would run 25-35K with install. That said, I have noticed yacht masters to have some "interesting" listings in the past.

Re: WILD CAT buyer Beware

Why do you think this is the same boat?

I find it hard to believe they got new sails and didn't list them. Plus the red ones don't look brand new. Wind gen seems to be in a different spot. Front hatch is plexi and plywood on one and fiberglass on the other. There are more subtle difference.

I thought the engines had just been run 475 hrs., from one ad to the other, although the ads showed a difference in HP. Anyone can go into hawking boats. I believe the first said 25 hrs.? Who would
replace them unless they had been under water?

Re: WILD CAT buyer Beware

Bumfuzzle was a 2002 Wildcat. This is a different boat. Would expect issues with that price but would be interested to know what issues the op was talking about.
