Re: Who is Toyota, Lexus, Mercedes, Ferrari equivalents?

If I can add good old Catalac to the list.

Let's see, British, reasonably stylish but based on an old design, solid build but not the best of finish, plenty of room but slow, not many made it to the 'states and company has since closed down, hmmmm.

I know, Catalac = ROVER!

I would agree for most monos. But my god there are some butt ugly monos out there as well. There are also some beautiful streamlined cats.

Re: Who is Toyota, Lexus, Mercedes, Ferrari equivalents?

Lets not start a 'cat v mono' thread again.

Anyway, everyone knows that a mono is just a proper boat with one hull missing......

Agreed smj, I was on a Prout 50 in Hong Kong recently and I was most impressed.

I think a Catalac is more like a Vauxhall.
Mantas are like Oldsmobiles. Good old reliable transportation for good old people. Both have been discontinued.

You need to do the Tail Of The Dragon on the Tenn/NC border.
I've done it in a Superformance Cobra with a 575hp Roush 427, and in an Audi R8.
Wear Depends!!--jus in case.

I think a old Porsche 356 roadster and a J-24 go together- small, fast, uncomfortable but classics.

Catalina 27 is the Honda Civic!

If you are engineless, is your boat a bicycle?

Wouldn't that make it the London Taxi (Hackney Carriage)?
