I built a 23' Hinemoa in the 70s. Used WEST and dynel cloth which was hard to work with. Sailed her from Galveston to Miami
. No dink. Put her on the beach to run ashore tide willing, or anchored in inches when need be. Only complaint was wished I'd built a bigger one for the room, and it was not easy to tack; many times I jibed her around. And here, I must admit, I built the boat 6" wider than plans. May have made all the difference.
Since then, have dreamed of the 31' I think it is, but I'm too old to start a project
like that. My mate at the time was young and buxom and generally topfree, much to the delight of many a fellow cruiser.
I think if a cruising gal has world class hooters, it is incumbent on her to share the wealth a little, if you get my drift.
