whither express multihulls?

I get bounced around trying to find Express Multihulls on the web to catch up on developments in their nice little Sportsdeck cat. Have they gone away? Does someone else have the molds?

Sad state of affairs, the factory had a fire (about 6-12 months ago), everything was lost including the new 11 metre boat and the moulds for the sportsdeck 9 metre. None of it was insured I am given to understand and given that John was a mature chap, he decided that enough was enough, so no more express multis and no more new GBE sportsdecks

It is very difficult to get insurance for boat building, and when you can get it, the rates are something like 20 times higher than what you would pay for a different manufacturing business. I don't know why.

Too many flamables with the possibility of exothermic reactions.
Theres been several fires started in shops over here where a rag with some catalyst has been thrown into rags with resin, usually during the cleanup just before knockoff.

For those using polyester or vinylester, there are at least 3 extremely flammable substances in the shop-mekp, acetone, and styrene.
