Re: Which Stack Pack for a L450?

Hi Graham,

We were at the Mokohinau Islands for the night as a flat sea and calm (attached kmz file on Google earth). Beautiful spot and great walk up to the lighthouse. The really, really, really observant will be able to see the top of Magique's mast looking down from the hill shot.

Cheers
Dave

Re: Which Stack Pack for a L450?

Top tips, thanks Dave. We've submitted all the options already as the deadline has passed but I'm going to push for little things to be changed as our rep has been pretty poor on the info. Will do some swift research. She'll be hanging about in HK waters for a couple of years first so all the whizz bang gizmos are not really needed to start with, a pointed finger and a mobile phone will cover most nav and comms requirements , but appreciate not shelling out the cash for sub-standard stuff just to upgrade later.

Re: Which Stack Pack for a L450?

If you get the B&G V50 and the B&G H50 wireless hand-held remote from Lagoon the H50 snaps into a charging base at the helm and can be used as a intercom as well. That is what we went with and are very happy with it.

As for the stack pack, we passed on the factory option and got the Doyle with the zipper. However we also went with a hard top Bimini that we had custom built to my criteria so we can walk on it and reach the tail end of the zipper with no problem.

Thanks Dave, I've sailed past there going from Barrier to Tutukaka but never called in. Last time a huge white pointer about 20' long cruised past our bow looking at us with contempt.

Thanks Larry, any chance you could share the contact for Doyle that you used? Wouldn't mind having a chat with them.
