Which make use this kind of steering linkage?

Curious of the quality of such construction

Looking pretty sketchy I must say. What happens when the plastic chafes away? Steel and Aluminum don’t work that well together

That will take ages to wear through. If as part of the maintenance regime the nylon washer is replaced and the rivets and bolts are put in with Tefgel or similar, should last as long as the boat. There are plenty of places stainless and aluminum meet, all over the mast, the forebeam etc, proper maintenance will help make sure it does not become a failure point.
