I would start with New and Used Yachts for Sale - YachtWorld.com. You can use the search tool to put in various criteria to find listings of boats for sale even by geographic area. Most all the brokerage boats would be there. It wouldn't hurt to see what asking prices are at these days and what 150K might buy. There are of course extra expenses and a survey is required to get insurance and have a good idea what the To Do list will be. All used boats have a list of things to do to them. You want a reasonable list that is included in your calculations. You won't be buying a brand new boat so condition is going to effect how much you have to spend up front.

Boats and prices tend to follow quality, age, and condition. Prices rise quickly above 36 feet. If you look at the search results you can get closer to investigating possible choices. You can only buy the ones up for sale. Always begin close to home before going off on a search expedition. You really don't want to waste money chasing possible boats until you are sure. Try to go see a few boats and get aboard to look at them. You need to get used to looking at boats so you can understand what usually is in typical boats in your price range.

I am also looking at "cruising cats" and had been very narrow in my searches. I was really surprised at the variety of brands and sizes when searched by $$ range rather than brand or length..

I found my cat on boats.com. Just search multihulls and put in your top price. I just did a quick search and came up with 39 pages under 150K.
