Which Catamaran do you Think Looks Best

Hi all a completely off topic but which cat from 40-70 foot do you consider looks best here I'm only talking about the design and nothing related to sailing... Personally I would say the outremere's looks nice

Re: Which catamaran do you think looks best

Hi Mike
Last year I saw a Fusion 40 called Kangaroo. I think that is an Australian cat that was built in France. Looked pretty sleak and not anything like the other French marine RV things

Re: Which Catamaran do you Think Looks Best

I was lucky enough to sail for almost a year on board of a Privilege 615 through the Med and the Canaries.

She was invariably the biggest cat around, and an unusually beautiful one... I am not sure if Alliaura is still on the market with this model, though...

Re: Which Catamaran do you Think Looks Best

In general, I like the look of the newer Leopards, 39, 44 & 48.

The Lagoon 400 S2 has pretty nice lines. I love FP interiors but their oval shaped windows bother me for some reason.

If you are considering Trimarans as well, the Dragonflys are hands down the best looking.

Overall though, for catamarans only, the SIG45 would probably get my vote for best looking. With no bridgedeck, it has a very clean, very elegant appearance, both inside and out. However, the price is astronomical.

Most Schionnings look great, a lot of Crowthers and Graingers too.

But I still really like ours:

Yes they still build 615. I have been aboard one in Les Sables this spring. But for me, Series 5 wins hands down. But of course I am boased

Re: Which Catamaran do you Think Looks Best

I think the older Simonis designed Leopards, and the Voyages, are all great looking boats, not like condos, at all. The L47 is particularly handsome. There is a Simonis design, about 65 feet, here in the BVI, and I think it is the prettiest boat in the BVI, mono or cat. I think she was built in St. Kitts. Her name is Shangrila and she looks like a really sleek, massive and long L47. Of course, the longer a boat is, the better she looks, unless you add lots of upper decks like many of the newer designs. That's plain ugly, to my eyes, although I understand perfectly why some like the utility.
