Where can I pull a beam of 26' on the Lower Chesapeake?

Anyone know where I could get a Lagoon 46 with a beam of 25' 10" pulled on the lower Chesapeake? Seems all the typical 70 ton travel lifts are limited to 25'. I want to put it on the hard until April.

You might call the Lagoon dealer in Annapolis. They move a lot of boats. I bet they have a list...

CatCo and Multitech at Pier 7 Marina in Edgewater (just South of Annapolis)

We are at Portsmouth Boating Center, Portsmouth VA. Two weeks ago they hauled out a Lagoon 450 for repairs with the same beam as yours. That boat left yesterday so there is a slip available, too.

RE Portsmouth Boat Yard.
Thanks for the info but I'm a bit confused. I called them and they said their travel lift was 25' wide. From the Lagoon site, I see the 450 has having a beam of 25' 10" (7.87m)
My 46 is even a bit wider at 26 1 3/8" (7.96m)

Maybe the guy I spoke w/was incorrect about their lift.

Try Stingray point boat yard....not the marina but boatyard.

Just talked to the yard foreman at Portsmouth. You are right, their lift is about 2” too narrow. Bummer.

Only with the railway on Fishing Bay, now that Sequoria is gone.
Better check on the condition of the railway as that might have been the reason Sequoria left.

Re: Where can I pull a beam of 26' on the Lower Chesapeake?

Other than the yards that haul mega yachts--and they don't want to haul your cat-- AFAIK, there is no travelift on southern Chesapeake that can haul your boat.

I'm 25 ft, and just barely fit in the one at Cape Charles. Not sure if the Syncro Lift at (formerly) Ocean Marine in Portsmouth is back in operation yet. I hauled there last winter.

If you can wait until spring, Zimmerman's on Mobjack Bay has a new trailer, and are widening the ramp this winter to haul wider multihulls like yours and mine.

I know Port Annapolis Marina in Annapolis has a wide travel lift for cats that they put in a few years ago but dunno if it's wide enough for you.

There used to be a railway haulout in Deltaville not sure if it's still in use.

There are only six places on the Chesapeake to haul that wide. In the lower Chesapeake try Cape Charles.

One other option for you:

Atlantic Yacht Basin in Great Bridge VA has a railway

That's where I will be tied up but they can't pull the boat.
