Re: whats missing?

Solar panels? Charge controller?

If they're claiming ~ 4 tonne displacement, there's about half the boat missing...

Re: whats missing?

Few things I would be asking, size of fuel and water tanks, holding tanks. I see safety items mentioned but I would itemise things such as Epirb, VHF, liferaft, life jackets harness's jack lines etc. While you indicate it has a house battery bank I would be enquiring actual battery capacity. Also check engine hours. Its also the silly things we dont think about but are really needed such as mooring lines and buffers. What type of sails, construction and age. How old is the rigging and when was it last checked. I did not see a dinghy or motor for the dinghy itemised. I am a power scrooge so I would be asking is the lighting using LEDs or the old style Halogen globes. Also are there any spares or tools on board
Just a few things I look for when we have been looking to purchase. The other thing I would be asking is who built the boat. Was it homemade as many of them were or was it proffesionally built or a bit of both.

I'm assuming you mean the 4 ton displacement bit.

From your second post you state 9020 lb displacement.

ie 4100 kg.

Fusion 40 claim a displacement of 7000kg.

Looking at the fitout/tankage/storage etc it looks like a 10 ton boat.

I don't know weather you realise it but a fusion 40 has a lot of solid glass in the construction. ie large areas are not foam cored from memory.

They appear to have a reasonable capsize record. From memory I can only think of one capsized, and that was in NZ a while back.

Re: whats missing?

Fusion 40 catamaran for sale

Pics and Specs. Looks nicely done but I would want a VERY complete survey.

I also would not consider it unless I could spend some time under sail to understand how well the Rig was set up. It appears to have a very unusual helm for a large Cat, make sure you understand what you are getting into.

A Kit boat can have a more limited resale if you don't like what you end up with.

I hope it works out for you, Best of luck!

I also notice this one in Malaysia that would appear to have had its Helm modified to provide better visibility. That certainly is a concern with the original position. Just my humble opinion of course.
