These two crazy Frenchmen are now the holders of a world record that may never be broken, they're publicized worldwide, and they've struck a blow against those (mostly Anglos) who like to make jokes about supposed French cowardice.

I have a friend who's a detective on the Denver PD. He loves to tell this one: "Why are used French guns the best ones to buy? . . . Because they've only been dropped once!"

You gotta hand it to them, they do some crazy things with boats, and do it well. Must all be sublimated from their lack of success in the 18th and 19th centuries.

Why do the French plant trees along the sides of their roads?

So the Germans can march in the shade!

How many French divisions does it take to defend Paris?

We don't really know, do we?

It all good. It's all fun. My hat's off to the boys. Please don't ban me.

For such a small boat, AND flying a hull, that looks amazingly comfortable. Not so sure how it would feel after 11 days though. Wouldn't want it to rain much.
