Another way to put it is that it starts getting cold in San Diego in late January, and it starts warming up in early February.

I agree, but I suppose that's what women want who are we mortal men to know?

My friend only Masochists pound to weather. What does it mean that people like yourself prefer dark caves to a light airy cabin?

I'd love to see what you're sailing. Please post (well lit) photos.

Only the masochists will bother to argue this.

Because the ones that point this out have never actually had to do it, day after day.

Unless you're in the middle of an agressive circumnavigation or running from the police, this pretty much covers the rest of us no matter what type of boat we own.

You've arrived at the real crux of the matter.

The fellas who want to argue this hate people who mention facts. The fact of the matter is Cats are actuarially safer than monos.

Overall a very good post. I hope we see more of you on here and good luck selling the PDQ

Now I KNOW I must be a woman and my wife's actually a MAN!
I hate cold, and the reason my wife and I quit cruising was that she was
"Tired of not seeing green", and she "Loved the contrast of the seasons".

We're still married after 39 years and it's been 12 years since we returned
to the PNW from Mexico, but I'm still cold most of the time.

boat ad

this thread was started as a boat ad by a liberated woman with a bit of an attitude. I can relate. I have a few dozen chips on my shoulders that I'd be better off ditching. Stupid to care what some knuckle dragger thinks about me anyway. I won't change them.

Amusing how quickly this became another thread about mono versus multi. We all love this argument - myself included.

but seriously, any nibbles on selling the PDQ?

best of luck selling it. that happiest day...

Not a multihull kind of gal, but loved what you posted Catgirl (ad and all). I don't know what other women want but hope what ever it is they find it. I know what I want...well at least for today .

Hey First Mate,
Yep we had....HAD a great nibble on the PDQ and were getting ready to close, but turns out the buying couldn't get the financing. I guess the banks are making it harder to get credit these days, and rightly so if you ask me. So she's now back on the market!
Catgirl.

What about the "pounding" or noise?

CatGirl,

I have read a ton of "I like and dislike Cats for the following reasons." One that keeps coming up is the noise created, I assume by waves, when the water strikes the bottom of the boat or cockpit area off the water? Opinion?

Yes sometimes the pounding or slamming can be annoying. It can be louder, especially when going fast. Hey nothings perfect, it's a trade off.
