what to know?? 2010 leopard 38

I may be buying a 2010 leopard 38 that is in a charter fleet. Is there anything special to look for on the survey? Anything that is inherently bad on the 38's. I'm doing this broker-less. thanks for the help. Bill

Really. Get a good surveyor, and you might want that broker, too

This is what Multihull Dynamics thought of the boat, for what that's worth

Is it your surveyor or one the charter company recommended? Make sure he is truly independent and has experience with catamarans. Charter boat have been mistreated often and used a lot. I good way to find out what works and what doesn't is to charter the boat for a week or more before you buy. Some companies will discount the rate for a buyer.

I've chartered a L38 before and quite enjoyed the boat. There was nothing major that I remember having any issues with (one head stopped flushing, but any boat will have issues with the head) and we enjoyed some decent sailing.

That link is actually for the previous generation of Leopard 38s designed by Alexander Simonis. The 2010 version is a Morrelli & Melvin design and is a very different boat!

That's actually the older version. The 2010 Leopard 38 is actually the exact same boat as the current Leopard 39, except that the cockpit roof is a little higher and it isn't attached to the bridgedeck roof.
