I was refering to the hull speed calculator that someone else posted that gave the figure (specificaly for multihulls) and passed that on in good faith. Now, if that calculator is wrong, why blame ME? You own a similar sized vessel and therefore are qualified to correct that in a professional and respectfull manner but instead, you decided to be childish and codescending about it, that's NOT in the spirit of this community. This is what I put, CLEARLY stating that I was refering to what the scale had put;

My video was of a 38 foot boat, which TO ME is getting close to the smallest I would cruise and live aboard full-time. In a different (roomier) design maybe I'd go as small as around 10 metres. So IMO it was relevant.

There are people cruising in much smaller boats, but (again) IMO they demand too much of a compromise in performance and comfort.

You opinion may differ, of course.

Not long ago there was a thread about a couple of guys who took a very small (around 18 feet) INFLATABLE cat up into the arctic. Some people are keen.

Didn't see it mentioned but what about a PDQ 32lrc . Aren't the pretty good Water boats">blue water boats as well as good liveaboards?

the 32 is a good boat - the LRC not so much. The LRC had deisels in the end of a boat that wasn't really designed to carry them. The standard 32 is a much better boat.

Awww, Miss Cindy is so cute, I bet there are many cruisers on here that could use her as a tender!

There is of course a big difference between what can be done and what you'd actualy like to do. After all, people have crossed the Pacific and Atlantic in rowing boats but i'm willing to guess that not many of us would like to!
