wear and tear pads for rub spots

I don't know about everyone else, but on my boat, especially on the transom, are lots of places where the PO obviously had some sort of hard dink attached and chips in the gelcoat at various places in the transom steps and swim platform. I was going to repair the gelcoat piece by piece as rub rails on that surface were pretty difficult, but here's something that might be better. It's basically like a stainless steel sticker. I'm going to try it in a few places in the spring. My only worry is that certain areas have compound curves which couldn't be covered by this, so those areas I'll have to do the traditional sand and paint fix.

Hallo Doug these pads work good but make sure that any hollow spots are first filled before placing them otherwise you get dents in them . the stainless is very thin .
