Yes, I got a quote from them for portlights once, and it was way over the top. I would guess that a door from a breaker's yard in India would be solid steel, however, and weigh hundreds of pounds. The USCG does not permit watertight doors in bulkheads required to be watertight under CFR 46, such as Sub-T boats carrying lots of passengers. One more reason for going Wharram style in the accommodations, IMHO.
