Reality is of course that while DOJ was dreaming up new ways to troll and give vent to his green tinge, we in this part of the world were out sailing on a wonderful afternoon of social racing. Had a win and everything! Monos Multis all mixed in and all had a good time and enjoyed each others good nature. Beats the crap out of keyboard warrioring.

The funniest part was that some didn't seem to "get it".

Bring on global warming eh factor! If the atlanic high and jet stream would only stay where they are now forever i would be delighted. As a san diego transplant living in ireland the last 7 years this last week is the longest stretch of sun i have seen since moving here!

As troll threads go this one was fun

For three seconds I was scheming about how glad I was to have that third hul... Figured I'd make zillions retro fitting a canoe for gunboats to use in us waters...

The very fact that this thread was taken seriously illustrates how far from the "freedom" end of the spectrum America has recently drifted.

Take a look at post # 2 & 13- it’s easy to make up a story and fool a lot of the people a lot of the time, but it’s not so easy to fool all of the people all of the time- this is what is and has been going on in all of the country’s of the world from the beginning- the story was not at all believable - if you took a moment to think about it-most folks did not and had a knee jerk reaction-consider the source, DOJ has a habit of being a prankster and this was a very good one- but he had a lot of help keeping it going- it was fun while it lasted- I laughed out loud more than once!

Re: USCG proposes to restrict cruising Catamarans to "calm" weather

I also read that the international sailing federation were planning to abolish all sailing records set by multihulls - RTW, singlehanded RTW, transatalantic, transpacific, etc etc.. well pretty much every sailing record.

The reason: they were wind assisted.
